Now they both fight aliens and have alien friends and are husbands.

Ok here is my massive take on this. Yeah I agree, I’d like Crow to have a break from the story. I haven’t been happy with the writing in Destiny for a hot minute, especially in Lightfall. The way they massacred my boy Crow, turned him into a walking cringe-fest, it breaks my heart. Uldren has been my favorite character since 2014 and I liked that they made him into Crow and gave him a new purpose as a character.

I never cared about people hating on Uldren/Crow, I don’t interact with the Destiny community much anyway. I like Uldren/ Crow and that’s all that matters to me, but I have had the thought of how people in the community will react to everyone’s Crow x guardian ships now, with this whole Amanda thing…

And that’s where my massive take comes in. I absolutely hate that they made Amanda into a love interest for Crow. The way they’ve made Crow follow her around like a little puppy, unable to take the hint and being cringe and clingy? It’s just…it’s sad. Could they not have just kept him as a cool wingman for the player/guardian? Doing his best to help out and just be cool? No they cringafied him. Now I haven’t personally had anyone say anything to me about my Crow x Enra ship, but like many others, I’ve had the ship for a long time, since Uldren era. I wonder how people see the ships now with Crow having an ingame love interest.

Anyway TLDR, Bungie’s writing is cringe these days and I don’t like the Amanda Holiday x Crow thing. Just my opinion.

I hope Crow leaves the story for a long time. I love and adore him. Him and Uldren are the only reason I’m still going. But seeing his character get ruined with bad writing and pacing, this community hating him since day fucking 1… I’m tired. I’m done. Back during D1 all I wanted was the promised Crow character. Our wingman. Our partner. Uldren’s lore was great but he was never in the story for literally YEARS. Now everyday, everyone complains that Crow is in the story. I can’t enjoy this character publicly anymore.
